Ethefi withdrawals
EtherFi has separate exit routes for ETH staking, sETHFI, Liquid vaults and tokens held in Cash. The route depends on what you hold, where the position is held and which asset you want to receive. Processing estimates and completion steps belong to the selected product.
sETHFI: Converting staked ETHFI back to ETHFI
Unstaking sETHFI converts the position back to ETHFI. The expected processing time is up to 14 days, with some requests completing around day 13. This is an unstaking process, not an instant swap.
EtherFi's September 21, 2026 guide, How do I unstake my ETHFI / convert sETHFI back to ETHFI , distinguishes Cash Vault positions from positions staked with a personal wallet.
ETHFI staked through a Cash Vault
Direct withdrawal is available on Cash web and iOS; Android users need Cash web. Open Staked ETHFI in Cash, select Withdraw, enter the amount, then review and confirm the request. This route does not require first sending sETHFI to an external wallet. Keep the Cash account active until the request completes.
ETHFI staked with a personal wallet
Open the ETHFI page, connect the wallet holding the staked position and select the network where the ETHFI is staked. Choose Withdraw, enter the amount and complete the required approval and withdrawal transactions. ETHFI returns to that wallet after processing.
Example: A pending Cash withdrawal
In this hypothetical example, the position was staked through a Cash Vault and the holder is using Android. Before transferring sETHFI elsewhere, the holder checks the supported route and submits the direct withdrawal on Cash web.
The expected result is a settled conversion back to ETHFI. Suppose the subsequent status check shows Pending and an estimated time remaining. The conversion is incomplete: the request is still processing. A pending Cash request settles automatically when processing finishes, so the holder keeps the account active while waiting.
ETH staking: Receiving ETH or moving a staking token
weETH unwrapping returns eETH at the applicable conversion rate. eETH or weETH can be redeemed for ETH through a queued withdrawal or, when available, an instant route backed by a liquidity buffer. Instant redemption applies the configured exit fee and rate limits. A transfer to another wallet moves weETH without converting it to ETH.
eETH-to-ETH unstaking
The dedicated guide, How to unstake your eETH to receive ETH , gives this sequence:
- Sign in with your wallet address and open Earn.
- Under Stake, select weETH.
- Select Withdraw and choose your connected wallet.
- Change the withdrawal asset from weETH to eETH, then complete the request.
ETH becomes available after the unstaking request has been processed. Review the redemption estimate for that request.
weETH held in Cash
The Cash weETH help article describes a route through an Ethereum address you control: transfer weETH to that address and complete withdrawal through the supported Ethereum interface. Direct redemption is not supported within that Cash flow. There is no fixed weETH lock period, but protocol-level waiting periods can still apply.
Finalized protocol withdrawals
In its July 14, 2026 release note, Safe Staking, From Doctrine to Code , EtherFi described ETH for finalized protocol withdrawals as set aside in escrow at a locked rate, with permissionless claims unaffected by a protocol pause. Request submission, finalization and claiming are separate stages.
Liquid vaults: Output assets, timing and settlement
For a Liquid withdrawal through Cash, open Earn and select the vault holding the position. Choose Withdraw and enter the amount. Some vaults also ask which asset to return; LiquidETH can offer wETH or weETH. Make that selection before confirming the withdrawal transaction.
The processing times below are estimates, not guaranteed deadlines. Available liquidity, queue demand, strategy withdrawal cycles and settlement can extend the wait.
| Liquid position | Estimated processing time |
|---|---|
| ETH Yield (Liquid ETH) | Up to 3 days |
| BTC Yield (Liquid BTC) | Up to 3 days |
| USD Yield (Liquid USD) | Up to 3 days |
| Reserve | About 3 days |
| Euro Yield (Liquid EUR) | About 3 days |
| Real World Assets Yield (Liquid RWA) | About 7 days |
Once a Cash Liquid withdrawal is processed, funds are sent automatically to the wallet without a separate manual claim. Requests may be queued depending on available liquidity and strategy state. A previous withdrawal's completion time does not establish the timing of the next one.
Vault fees vary. Check the selected vault's factsheet for its platform fees; network gas applies separately.
eBTC: A separate unstaking route from Liquid BTC
eBTC is a Bitcoin-backed token, while BTC Yield (Liquid BTC) is a strategy-vault position. The eBTC Cash help article directs holders to transfer eBTC to an Ethereum address they control and complete withdrawal or unstaking externally; direct unstaking is not supported within that Cash flow.
The listed processing estimate for eBTC is up to 14 days. The shorter BTC Yield estimate applies to the Liquid vault, so it should not be used as the eBTC unstaking timetable. Moving eBTC to a wallet does not by itself complete the underlying unstake.
Cash wallet transfers: Token and network limits
A Cash wallet transfer sends a token balance to an external address. Before sending, verify the destination address, confirm both Cash and the receiving wallet support the selected token and network and allow for any network fee. An incorrect address or incompatible destination can cause permanent loss.
In Cash, use Send, choose Wallet Address, select a supported network, choose the token and amount, then enter the destination address.
EtherFi's June 17, 2026 Cross-chain Withdrawals guide lists these transfer restrictions:
- Base: USDC and weETH only.
- Ethereum: the guide's asset set excludes SCR, USDT, ETHFI and WETH.
- Optimism: all assets within the guide's stated scope.
Use a token-network combination offered for your account. That guide lists up to one hour for transfers through Ethereum mainnet or Base; this transfer timing does not cover a preceding vault redemption or unstaking request.
When a balance backs an outstanding loan
Cash may reserve part of a balance to maintain the loan's required Health Factor. The amount available for withdrawal can therefore be lower than the total balance while debt remains outstanding. Review the withdrawable amount and position health before moving collateral.
